Your journey starts with a comfortable pickup from our central Ubud meeting point. A scenic drive brings you to our family-run organic farm. We welcome you both with hot Balinese coffee or local herbal tea.
Next, walk through the gardens together. Grab a bamboo basket and a harvest knife. You will pick fresh ingredients like lemongrass, galangal, and organic vegetables straight from the soil.
In our open-air jungle kitchen, you get your own private cooking station. There is no sharing with a large group. Our local chefs guide you patiently through every step. Together, you will grind aromatic spices using a traditional stone mortar to create Base Gede, the mother sauce of Bali. You will prepare a delicious 6-course traditional menu side-by-side.
Your experience ends with an intimate, private candlelit dinner. Share the meal you created together while surrounded by the quiet evening sounds of the jungle.
Itinerary
04:00 PM: Free pickup from the central Ubud meeting point (Pura Dalem Puri Peliatan).
04:45 PM: Arrival at our organic farm in Taro Village. Enjoy a welcome coffee or herbal tea.
05:00 PM: Private guided sunset tour and ingredient harvesting in the gardens.
06:00 PM: Step into the kitchen. Learn to make Base Gede (spice paste) and cook your appetizers.
06:45 PM: First break! Sit down to enjoy the appetizers you just cooked.
07:15 PM: Return to your cooking station to prepare the main courses and dessert.
08:00 PM: Private candlelit dinner is served in our open-air pavilion.
09:00 PM: End of the evening. Our shuttle departs to return you safely to central Ubud.

Main Courses:
Non-Vegan Menu: Bumbu Bali Spice Paste, Balinese Chicken Curry, Chicken Satay Lilit (minced meat skewers), and Chicken with Sambal Matah (raw lemongrass and shallot dressing).
Vegan/Vegetarian Menu: Bumbu Bali Spice Paste, Balinese Vegan Curry, Vegan Satay Lilit, and Crispy Corn Fritters (Perkedel Jagung).
Dessert:
Dadar Gulung (sweet pandan crepes filled with coconut and palm sugar).

50% Fee: Cancellation 4 to 6 days in advance.
